Looking for an experienced cellar technician to join our Toronto brewing team
This job will provide the opportunity to work on some of the latest filtration and brewing equipment.

Junction Craft Beverage Co. (JCBC) is one of Ontario’s top craft breweries and beverage producers. Located in the Junction’s Stockyards area of west Toronto. Since 2011 the company has been steadily growing and now calls a beautiful former 1930’s Art Deco public works building, affectionately known as ‘The Destructor’, home. JCBC brands and beers can be found across the province in the LCBO and at numerous restaurants, bars throughout the GTA and products made for our partners are sold and shipped across North America.

About The Role:

This role, reporting directly to the Brewmaster, is a key function within our production team. This role is permanent, full-time and offers a competitive salary based on experience, company health benefits and team profit sharing.


About You:

  • Work great in a team environment

  • Results-oriented

  • Able to communicate effectively and objection handle on-the-fly

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working on your own

  • Strong attention to detail and a dedication to cleanliness

  • Understand the importance of safe work practices

  • Available to work between the hours of 6 am and 11 pm

 

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize tanks, fittings, and equipment

  • Centrifuge operation and cleaning

  • Responsible for dry-hopping and/or fruiting of beers

  • Beer transfers

  • Bright beer and RTD blending and preparation

  • Quality checks including daily gravity and pH readings, CO2 and DO readings of bright beer

  • Yeast collection and handling

  • Support brewers with material preparation

  • Maintain a clean and tidy brewery

  • Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Able to safely lift 55 lbs. 

 

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience working in brewery production, or relevant industry

  • Secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline or equivalent experience
